Biography

Chris Hall has been a working colorist and cinematographer in Los Angeles since 2006; credited with numerous feature film, commercial, broadcast and web credits. Chris completed his Master's degree in Film and Television productoin from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts in 200. Immediately upon graduation Chris began work as a freelance Director of Photography in LA. Chris also founded Basher Films, a small boutique production/post production company, to run parallel with his cinematography career. Specializing in RED Camera production and post production Basher Films serviced numerous productions with Red Camera Rentals, data management, as well as full online and color correction services.

Eventually color correction became Chris' primary passion and since 2009 Chris has been color correcting full time. His feature credits include the 2012 navy seal action film, "Act of Valor", as well as the award winning documentary "The Girls in the Band" amongst numerous others. Commercial projects have included spots for such clients as Mattel, Lexus, Naturemade, Jaguar, Kelloggs, Jeep, Mercedes, Relativity Media, Yokohama, and countless others. In 2012 Chris decided to finally merge Basher Films with the Santa Monica based boutique finishing house "Prehistoric Digital" where he worked for 3 years. At Prehistoric, Chris worked as a finishing colorist grading more than 30 feature films including 2014 Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winner "Rich Hill" as well as numerous music video and commercial projects.

In June of 2015 Chris decided to accept an offer from long time post-production house Traiblazer Studios, in Raleigh, North Carolina to relocate to the south and bring his feature film experience to the recently burgeoning southeast market. Chris is currently a resident colorist there and makes his home in Raleigh with his family.
